Why LuzViMinda?

The Philippines is a nation of deep contrasts—rich in natural resources, yet home to millions struggling with poverty. Many communities lack access to education, vocational training, and economic opportunities. Others have never heard the Gospel in their own language. LIPI believes that reaching all three major island groups is essential to creating lasting impact.

LIPI’s mission spans across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—collectively known as LuzViMinda. These three island regions make up the geographical and cultural heart of the Philippines, each with its own unique challenges and opportunities. By working across all three regions, LIPI is committed to holistic transformation through the Gospel, education, and sustainable development.

Our Regional Strategy

Luzon: Laying the Foundation

As the country’s most developed region, Luzon is home to Metro Manila and many urban centers. However, poverty remains prevalent in rural areas and slum communities. LIPI’s work in Luzon focuses on training leaders, establishing trade schools, and launching agribusiness initiatives that provide employment and financial independence.

Visayas: Expanding Opportunity

The Visayan Islands are home to many underprivileged, out-of-school youth. LIPI is actively building partnerships with local churches and businesses to provide vocational training in mechanics, culinary arts, and entrepreneurship. By equipping young people with skills, we empower them to build sustainable futures.

Mindanao: Reaching the Unreached

Mindanao is one of the most underserved regions in the Philippines, with large indigenous communities and many remote villages that lack access to basic resources. LIPI is focused on Bible translation, discipleship, and sustainable farming. Through agribusiness projects like citronella farming and animal husbandry, we are helping families create economic stability while also introducing them to the hope of Christ.
